Getting the Camera Working!

Allow Access to Daily Mugshot
Click the 'Flash Settings' button to the right. An options box will appear like the one below.

Click on the tab that looks like a montor with an eye (strange huh?). Make sure both 'Allow' and 'Remember' are checked off.

Closing the Trouble Apps.
Only one application is allowed to access the camera at a time. So if you have a video-chat application like Skype or iChat or Photobooth or Yahoo video chat open, then Daily Mugshot MIGHT not have acess to your web-cam. So the next step is to shut these applications down. Refresh the browser and see if the camera comes up in the box to the right. Do you see yourself?
Choosing Proper Camera
Click the 'Flash Settings' button to the right. An options box will appear like the one below.

Click on the camera tab. Then try the different options from the dropdown menu. One of them should bring up the Camera.

Check Advanced Flash Settings
If things are still not working, don't worry, there is still ONE MORE issue we can check.
If settings are not already open, then open them by clicking the 'Flash Settings' button to the right. Select the privacy tab, which looks like a monitor with an eye in it. Click the 'Advanced' Button, which will open a new page in your browser as seen below:

In this 'Flash Player Help' page, click on the 'Website Privacy Settings Panel', as seen above. When the panel opens, search through the list of websites to find 'www.dailymugshot.com'. Make sure it is checked to 'always allow' Then close this page, and refresh the Daily Mughshot page. Do you see yourself?

  2. Continuity matters: you want to have a similar expression in each photo. The easiest is dead-pan. Smiling too much is hard to replicate.
